Rock Hill, Fort Mill Website Design Gets Easier

The Charlotte Business Journal reported today that two York County cities, Fort Mill and Rock Hill will have the opportunity to receive their internet services from Time Warner Telecom. You can find the York County expansion story here.

Time Warner’s chief competition is the Comporium, the only cable internet provider in the area.

Both personally as a resident of Lake Wylie and professionally as a website designer, I am excited. This competition should spur both to lower prices and better local service.

Welcome to the area! Best of luck with the SEO business!

I use Comporium as that is currently my only cable option – I need the speed. While their reliability has increased over the last few years, this is a poorly-run company with inconsistent support. Some days they are on top of the ball – others you cannot find a person to do even the simplest of tasks – ex. add HD to your cable package.

Has anyone else out here in Lake Wylie tried Time Warner? Is it available?

Glad to hear this. I’m moving to the area and am considering both Comporium and Time Warner. Any advice?

Did you know that Comporium put Wi-Fi into Downtown Rock Hill for no cost to the city? Thought you may be interested in that. – Jason Broadwater
