There is a really easy way to find people to buy what you are selling. It
works for every industry. And yes, it involves some effort and some website
help. Here’s how I do it.
Step 1: Find Some People with Problems Your Solution Solves
Search for people looking for solutions that you specifically offer and
then track it back to your solution. Say you sell hammers. Search Google
for people looking to hang pictures. Eventually you’ll find bulletin
boards, newsgroups, mailing lists, etc filled with people looking to hang
pictures.
Step 2: Help All of These People
Well, you’ve got all these hammers that are great when partnered with nails
for hanging pictures. Start offering help there on those sites. Once you
are viewed at an expert at hanging photos, people will start asking you if
you would please sell them one of your hammers.
Step 3: Automate Your Work
Create a website and start writing definitive articles geared to each
question that you found in Step 1. Take their exact headline, write a web
page with all of the information you already shared in Step 2.
Step 4: Share Your Work
Make sure that page ranks well in search engines. When someone searches for
‘Hang a Picture,’ make sure your site comes up #1. Now you have a great big
passive sales funnel to sell your hammers!
